CHROMATA

Steve Nohelty has been playing drums since he was 10 years old. His drumming style includes progressive and melodic metal and tends to gravitate towards more aggressive rythyms.

 

He joined his first band at the age of 20 and has been active since.  Steve and current singer Dave Wipert performed together in a band called Lunatic Fringe before joining Dave and former guitarist Steve Kolokithas in his current band Chromata.

His biggest band influence is Queensryche and his favorite drum hero is Mike Portnoy.  He's followed Mike's career since he saw Dream Theater for the first time in San Jose, to now with The Neal Morse Band.

Steve's energy & intensity shows through in his drumming style and gives Chromata that extra edge in their live shows.
